AMS is the only applications company that builds all of its own equipment and writes all of its own software. It's not
because we want to; we have to because the physics of our system -- and its performance capability -- is different from that of any other system available today. AMS also builds its own ligh-backpack GPS (Geographical Positioning System)
units. Again, not because we want to but because we have to. Early in our technical trials, when agricultural users couldn't locate stresses shown in our imagery, they questioned our imagery rather than the accuracy of their GPS units. The commercial units available were sometimes off as much as 100 feet. The AMS unit -- without differential correction -- is accurate to 2 meters (6.5 feet ) 100% of the time. This has allowed for extremely accurate ground truthing in conjunction with our remote thermal imaging... resulting in phenomenal success that exceeds any other system on the market today.
