AMS Thermal imaging illustrating progression of Blackleg

Agricultural Management Systems Sample Thermal Imaging Data:
Blackleg Disease in Field of Seed Potatoes

These are remotely sensed thermal images from AMS of Oklahoma City. These images capture the progression of Blackleg disease through a field of seed potatoes.

The images, taken at one-month intervals, show the progression of the disease that starts as a small yellow patch that can be seen at the top of the field (top).

The disease has spread until it encompasses most of the field (bottom). Increased severity of the disease is marked by the progression from yellow to orange to magenta in the upper portion of the field.

AMS customers have images such as these delivered to their own computers via a secure interface between the database and their computers over the Internet. When a customer clicks on the computer screen at any point in an image, a latitude-longitude locator code is automatically calculated that can pinpoint the location of the problem as seen in the images within a two-meter diameter.
